Would you please tell me which antivirus applications you have had previously on this machine any and all.The reason I ask is because some like to hang around after you uninstall via add remove programs and require the use of removal tools.

Please use Belarc Advisor to get the Exact info on your machine make/model.
http://www.belarc.co...e_download.html

What kind of computer do you have exactly??Example Compaq presario c700

Download CCLEANER

Just DONT us the registry cleaner function of CCleaner unless you know what you are deleting exactly!!

Then open ccleaner hit the tools button then startup second one down below uninstall then in the bottom right hand corner of ccleaner hit save to text file.Save it to your desktop and post the startup.txt here in your next reply.

Hit the start button in lower left hand corner. Then in the run box type msconfig, then hit the services tab then put a check mark in hide microsoft services what is listed there, after hiding microsoft services? Please post back to us in a vertical list.

Please download MINITOOLBOX When the box opens click save file, save it to the desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following boxes:

List Last Ten Event Viewer Errors
List MiniDump Files
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
Click Go and post the result.
List Devices (Only Problems)
Report IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries

Hit Go Post Results in your reply to me.

Please download and run it on the computer with the issue.
FarbarServiceScanner

Make sure the following options are checked:
Internet Services
Windows Firewall
System Restore
Security Center/Action Center
Windows Update

Press "Scan".
It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND POST ALL INFORMATION REQUESTED!! :)

I want to make one thing very clear DO NOT use the registry cleaner function of ccleaner!!

Yes just copy and paste the logs.Nothing personal is going to be produced by the programs that I have suggested you to use except Belarc Advisor. That is just to help you get me the exact make and model of your pc because you said you are green when it comes to computers. The only thing you need from Belarc Advisor is your make and model and your service tag if that applies to your machine.Have a great night. :)

Really Glad to have helped. :) :) :yeah: One last thing to consider is to defrag your machine.
http://www.auslogics...efrag/download/ Here is the direct download from the site I posted.Just decline installing anything other than the defrag.

You may want to uninstall Minitoolbox + FarbarService Scanner + Belarc Advisor,as far as Autoruns It is up to you,if you find the program usefull keep it if not uninstall it.

But I would most certainly keep Ccleaner and Ausologics Disk Defrag. You Should defrag your machine about every 2 months or so.I have provided some screen shots below for settings on Ccleaner so that Ccleaner runs everytime You start your machine so that you will not have to worry about the build up of temp files. Also check Every so often inside the startup list in Ccleaner and keep it the way it is now, meaning what you have starting up on your machine at this time is all you will ever need.No need to have things running in the back round while you are not using them, that is like having your tv on while you are at work.Who is it going to entartain the Ghost in your house?Well any way you catch my drift have a good day.

Have a great day I am glad everything is good.As a part of good house keeping you can download Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware Just update prior to scanning and run the scans on a bi monthly basis.I am in no way asking you to post the logs here they are for your personal use to keep your machine running good just remember after downloading them to disable them from your startup with Ccleaner unless you plan to purchase which I highly suggest that you purchase Malwarebytes but the free versions of the program are pretty good just for updated bi monthly quick scan. Like I said just do not post the logs here.
