I have Windows Vista home premium

I have not been able to update windows updates for over a year

I fixed the 80070009 I think anyway and now have error code 80070490 appearing

these are probablly two different issues but I need help as any time i attmept to find the solution online it
wants me to download all those usually viru filled applications

Please help!
