Mum in law has problem with windows XP starting completely. PC starts, hard drive starts, but fails to display anything on screen. Checked obvious power and other leads all ok, managed to start in Safe Mode, screen displayed as expected, (screen ok) but on selecting Safe Mode from options screen displayed computer text - Directories, Partition information., can't recall other info. It then froze and had to turn off at mains supply, Ctrl/Alt/delete didn't do anything.

Now cannot start in Safe Mode. Cannot acess BIOS either to boot from A:\ or CD Drive.

Without a screen displaying info I am stuck. Any ideas of cause and way to resolve would be appreciated. If its to complicated I will have to give to PC shop to repair.
