Hello I am about to build my first computer! I have around 2000 U.S dollars at hand, and i live in Denmark.

I have no experience in building a computer, but I do have some knowledge about it.

The computer is to be used for mainly gaming, software development, and internet surfing. But also video editing and school work.

So any ideas on what components i should buy? And if it could be purchased in Denmark, and how the warranty works?

Thanks in advance. Hope some will help ;) :geek:

Hi DarkByte

Can you let us know if you already have parts that you intend using such as an operating system, screen, keyboard, mouse or DVD/CD drive as examples.

For a quick reference see my post #18 @ http://www.geekstogo...ve/page__st__15 with your budget the list at the link will allow you to fit the best video card out there at the moment the GTX 580 http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814130751 see http://www.videocard...GeForce GTX 580 however if you are looking at serious video editing (as a profession/career) you should also consider a workstation type card such as http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814133382 as opposed to a card aimed more at gaming.

Tutorials to help you with your build courtesy of Troy/Artellos http://www.geekstogo...r-own-computer/ and Digerati respectively http://www.geekstogo...rface-material/
I hope this helps and if you have any questions please let us know.

Hi DarkByte

Thank you for your update and for letting us know that you will continue at your original topic.
Myself and iammykyl often work together on topics so I may chime in with a suggestion (or two) if you don`t mind.

NB: Just so you are aware GTG do not close topics unless by specific request of the OP or the content breaches the GTG TOU (Terms of Use) and neither are applicable in this case
