Thank you send the Pitstop please
There is nothing there to account for it.

TosSmartSrv is the toshiba disk monitoring
dwm is the desktop windows manager
and svchost is a necessary windows process.

The reason I asked you to check that restore points were still available, was not with the intention of using one, I am not sure it will fix this. It was simply to ensure that something had not deleted those.

So do you want me to use system restore at a certain date or have you got any other suggestions?
Thanks Mike

Unfortunately no it is not

I need the URL - address that appeared on the borwser when the results of the Pitstop appeared on your screen

When complete, a Results - Summary - Recommended Fixes will be displayed. - Please do not follow any procedures, until I have seen it for the reason outlined above

Please post the URL internet address, from your Results, back here into this Topic Thread so that we can review the configuration.

What I am seeing on Pitstop, is not the same as what you copied and pasted from PCMatic.

Therefore I presume you processed the offered optimization and cleaning on PcMatic

We do not like these automated methods, as you sometimes struggle to know what has been changed.

However - as there appears to have been a need for a cleanup and it appears that this has now been done - is there any change noticeable, particularly of course to the mouse.

Would you also check again please your restore points are there.

Well I am sorry about that, I cannot just perceive how Pitstop says
System restore capacity - that means the space on the HDD allocated to restore points is 0

Pc Matic has been reported as APPARENTLY deleting restore points, not as an intended action, but it is alleged as a consequence of some other changes to files etc.

Will post again tomorrow. - well today now about 1800 hrs

May I offer you my sincere apologies

I have just been checking the topics in my list and somehow I overlooked my promise to post again

I forgot, and then of course on my list I see the last post as mine, and do not of course then view the matter as waiting for my attention.

I appreciate the reason is no help to you and once again please accept my apologies.

It is the first time I have made such a mistake.

I sincerely hope you have managed to make progress.

Regards
Macboatmaster

NB If of course the matter still requires attention please post.
