now he cant download anything it says his exe files are not there.
Will the computer still boot to Windows? Yes
When please is this message displayed? when he clicks on the chrome icon it says does he want to run this file. then he clicks yes and it needs to know which program to open with and then no matter what he chooses it says it needs .exe files
3. Please provide some more details
he can't download anything as it says cant open due to missing .exe files. we were told before windows xp saves things in other areas of the hard drive but it takes a professional to find them due to being listed under other names.(sort of a mistake proof save we were told. )
we have searched the folders that we can access( when he deleted items it seems his folders: my computer, recovery, restore are gone as well.. )
