The actual virus protection/updates/streaming updates are the same for free and paid. So it depends what you really want.. I use the interrnet security for the firewall and safe zone browser

Safe zone browser is totally isolated from the rest of the system and I use it for online banking etc..

The firewall is totally fire and forget, it very rarely asks questions and works quietly in the background

But the most important part of Avast in my opinion is the web shield that blocks any bad connections without any hesitation, prevention is better than removal
