hello i have tried going to hp site & other to download a driver for cd/dvd player in my hp pavillion 64bit i had win 7 installed & hp site only helps for my model with win-xp. please can u tell me how & where i can get the cd/dvd driver that is a safe site not a site that tells me to download other stuff

There has been no need for a native optical drive driver since the introduction of Win XP as it is part of the OS.
What is the issue you are having as ti may be caused by some other issue that we need to address. Is your optical drive seen in My Computer?

It has been 27 days since your last response and I was wondering if the issue has been resolved?
If so can you explain how it was resolved so others may be able to fix it if they have the same issue.
