Looking at buying a TV tuner card and was wondering what is the best to buy that isn't that expensive, wanting to be able to record tv shows from satalite dish.

why dont you simply roll the dice an ebay it? try "hauppage" and "hauppage 350 video card" the 250 is for cable an 350 style for satellite, it should be interesting, but it is ebay so as i said, Roll 'em dice.
