They are both much of a muchness really, so if you have Secunia and run it regularly then there is no need for FileHippo

I usually run secunia once a month or so, sometimes I forget. Will stick with that then. Just going to do the OTL bit in a minute when I can leave it to work.

Huge problem! Otl stopped responding so only thing I could do was to force a restart. Now my laptop won't start

Oh I spoke too soon it took three mins to get passed the loading. Posting from iPhone at the min. What shall I do. The otl wouldn't work before with the hosts thing I think?

I thought so, the delay was due to OTL clearing all the temporary files prior to allowing windows to load

My apologies about that I forgot the Host file lock :blush:

Have removed OTL, but the next bit says to go to my computer, I dont have a my computer option, Im running Vista.

Ok I keep forgetting that everyone has a different set up to me

The other way is go to control panel
Select folder options (appearance > Folder options in category view) and proceed from there
