Internet not showing up

im hooking my computer up to my TV and i have my router right next to it and my modem, they are connected but then i plug an ethernet cable into my router then into my computer and then it says there are no internet connections, im typing this from my other computer. nothing pops up for internet connections and i cant find anything, we have charter BTW

Can you please get me the following logs from the computer in question.If this is a vista or windows 7 machine please right click the programs below and run as admin.


Please Download FarbarServiceScanner and run it on the computer with the issue.


Make sure the following options are checked:
Internet Services
Windows Firewall
System Restore
Security Center/Action Center
Windows Update

Press "Scan".
It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

Please download Download MinitoolBox and run it.


Checkmark following boxes:


Report IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
List Devices (problems only)



Click Go and post the result.

Edit: You will need to transfer the files over to the computer in question via cd/dvd or usb device then transfer the logs here the using the same method.
