Try TuneUp Trial

http://www.tune-up.com

Run file recovery, show only files in good condition, restore to a folder you create if you no longer have the original location.

Try to install it to a separate drive

You should be able to retrieve your lost files using Ontrack Datarecovery :

EasyRecovery DataRecovery puts the power and control of the recovery process in your hands and works in three easy steps:

- Scan the media for lost data
- Select folders and files to recover
- Copy lost folders and files to a safe location

Hi FusionFX! I've just visited the site that Jopiter has posted. You might want to go there and download a free version. It will let you do a testrun 1 time, but very limitted. Check it out. Good luck!

For harddisk recovery it's Ontrack Datarecovery, Filerepair is to fix damaged files, and Professional is a combination of these packages combined with Emailrepair.

If you are looking for free data recovery and troubleshooting tools, you might download these free bootable cdrom images :

Emergency Boot CD [EBCD]

Ultimate Boot CD [UBCD]

More bootable cdroms (for troubleshooting and other purposes) can be found at the LiveCD website :
