- Boot your computer on a Ubuntu live-CD or live-USB.
- Choose "Try Ubuntu" to load from live-CD or live-USB
- Connect internet
- Open a new Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T), then type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair && sudo apt-get update
- Press Enter
- Then type:
sudo apt-get install -y boot-repair && boot-repair
- Press Enter
- If prompted to update the software, click Yes
- Once boot-repair is installed it should launch
- Click Recommended Repair
- If/when prompted to install the [pastebinit] packages, you may select either Yes or No
- When finished, you should be prompted to restart.
- Close all open windows, restart and see if the grub menu loads properly.
