I spoke to Eset Customer Support a short time ago and they advised me that the red orb on the Advanced Setup Page is constant ( i.e. it never changes colour.) They suggested I install Eset Smart Security 4 to see if it worked ( no HIPS ) but I am reluctant to return to an old product so I think I will stay with MSE and Windows Firewall for the time being at least.
