Hello,

I'm planning to built my own PC. I will need it for 3d modelling/rendering, making high res textures & painting 3d models (photoshop cs6 & others). I also play the occasional game...
I've replaced pretty much every part (except case, cpu & motherboard) in my previous pc's with little trouble, but never built one myself & don't really know much about it. So I'm looking for any help/flaws/cautions/advice I can get :D

I'm not sure yet if I'd buy the parts from amazon or from local stores. Amazon is about 20% to 15% cheaper, but i am a bit worried about ordering such delicate parts over the internet?

I came up with the following:
(added links to amazon store for info)

PROCESSOR
Intel Core i7 (3770) 3.4GHz Quad Core Processor 8MB L3 Cache 5GT/s Bus Speed (Boxed)
http://www.amazon.co...42625855&sr=1-1

MOTHERBOARD
Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 Motherboard (Socket 1155, 32GB DDR3 Support, Intel Z77 Express, ATX, PCI-E 3.0, USB 3.0, Quad GPU AMD CrossfireX, Supports HDMI 1.4a)
http://www.amazon.co...42626545&sr=1-1

MEMORY (two packs for 32 GB)
GeIL 16GB GeIL DDR3 PC3-14900 1866MHz EVO Corsa CL9 (9-10-9-28) Dual Channel kit
http://www.amazon.co...42626017&sr=1-1

VIDEOCARD
EVGA GeF GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 Graphic Card
http://www.amazon.co...42626090&sr=1-1

CASE
Corsair Case CC650DW-1 Mid-Tower ATX
http://www.amazon.co...&pf_rd_i=468294

POWER
Corsair CMPSU-850AXUK Professional Series Gold 850W Power Supply
http://www.amazon.co...sim_computers_1

OS
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Full Version
http://www.amazon.co...42625269&sr=8-1

HD
Western Digital WD1002FAEX Caviar Black 1 TB 7200 RPM Internal Hard Disk Drive
http://www.amazon.co...2625123&sr=1-10

OPTICS
Sony AD-7261S-0B 24x Internal DVDRWRAM SATA Black Lightscribe
http://www.amazon.co...42625764&sr=1-1

Will these parts play nice with each other?

Thanks,
Bob.

I've ordered parts from Amazon before, and never had a problem. They use plenty of bubble wrap and packing peanuts. I suggest you opt for courier delivery rather than standard mail though. If Amazon gives the best price, go with them.
