I downloaded and ran spybot search & destroy.
Came up with many items recommended for deletion.
(which I did)

Now I can't connect to the internet by network or by phoneline.

I tried to undo the work of spybot, but it comes up empty when I try to restore what was deleted. I thought I had saved the stuff it recommended deleting.

running XP

Any advice ?

HELP please............. :tazz:

SYSTEM restore to last week fixed the internet problem.........

However, I do not understand why I can't run SPYBOT S&D
without screwing up my internet connection.

Do you have Spybot 1.4

http://www.filehippo...ch_destroy.html

Either way, uninstall the copy you have then re-install

Post the list of things it wants to remove to see if someone can spot the error

System restore probably gave you back the items you removed
