I bought a brand new Acer Aspire 5560 from a store and after only a few weeks i started to get BSOD's. I couldnt find any viruses or any spyware so I reformatted the laptop and everything was working great till one night when I came back from work and my laptop was powered up but the screen was just black, when i tried to turn it back on, it froze and wouldnt boot in normal or safe mode, so I removed the battery and put it back in and then it booted up fine, but ever since then, if i try to shut down my laptop, it will go through the process of shutting down, then the screen just goes black as if its shut down but the laptop doesnt power off.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Return it, it must still be under warranty. A new computer should not have these kinds of problems.
