Unable to delete a single file or folder

I'm not following what you want me to do.


Instead of using the dir command use the for command.

Also can the "A Perfect World" folder be deleted?
If you have files inside to keep please move them to a new folder on L:\iTunes Music\Compilations\

The Perfect World Folder cannot be deleted the only files in it are the ones I want to delete. I did the "for%f in ..." and got the short file names but when I enter "del /A /F APERFE~1\r" I get the response the "The system can not find the file specified"

Please confirm the delete command should be del /A /F APERFE~1 without \r

The for command output includes the \r at the end? If so try with:
del /A /F APERFE~1*

Did you try to do a Check Disk on that drive? If not open the command line and write:
chkdsk /f /x l:

Maybe give MoveOnBoot a try.

The odd characters in the file name are a bit suspicious. Have you checked the machine for malware?

Yes ran Malware no issues identified. Tried to use MoveOnBoot but was unsuccessful (Maybe operator error)

Did you try to do a Check Disk on that drive? If not open the command line and write:

chkdsk /f /x l:


Please run the check disk and post if it found and fix errors.

Normally the resulting files are bad but its better to answer yes.
