Larry can I ask if your netbook has a sticker on the bottom with the name of the original OS and version along with the reg key?

Win XP Home Edition is the version.
Being a Netbook I would suspect it should be SP3 then.
Now you only need to find the OEM version from a friend to reload the system.
You can use your reg number but the installation disk must be a OEM version of XP Home Edition.
