Greetings,

If this is not the correct forum, please let me know and show me where to post.

My Xp machine with Microsoft Money 2003 died. I put the hdd in another machine and made a backup to a cd. I have installed the Money program in a Win 7 laptop. Now, I can not restore my backup. The program will open the backup and I can use the backup. But I can not save the backup.

Any suggestions as to how?

could it be that because your accessing data from a cd, that its in read only format? perhaps if copy it locally, verify that it's not read protected, and see if it will then save.
