The folder that contained the original suspect files does not open on computer startup.
Can you write me full path to that directory (for example C:\Program Files\Bad directory)
I have also noticed that my antimalware programme is not updating , so will try uninstall, reinstall.
Yes please. Try to reinstall your antivirus solution and let me know results.

Step 1
I don't think it's bad but let check it out.
Please go to: VirusTotal
- Click the Choose File button and search for the following file:
c:\documents\hrupprog.die.now
- Click Open
- Then click Scan it! button
- Please be patient while the file is scanned.
- Once the scan results appear, please provide them in your next reply.
NOTE: If it says already scanned -- click Reanalyze now button
Step 2
Can you please uninstall your antivirus and try one of these:
Try to update it and let me know results.
Step 3

As you can see these files are not suspicious. Did you tried new AV software?
