Just installed ubuntu. I am getting a error that reads
"/bin/sh: cant access tty; job control turned of"
Why is this?

Hello,

this error occur by some new sata drivers but you can try first the following steps, hope that helps:

  • Boot your computer so that GRUB is displayed.
  • Press the "e" key to go into edit mode.
  • Press "o" to add a new line to the script.
  • Type the following: acpi=off irqpoll
  • Press the Escape key.
if acpi=off doesn't work change with one of the lines below:


acpi=force irqpoll
nacpitimer irqpoll
