[BuddyMG]

This computer I'm using takes at least 10 minutes to boot up (I used a stop watch this last time and somewhere between 10 and 11 minutes I was able to use it...) It's a laptop I was given from a friend; I'd like to keep using it but the time wasted may not be worth it. Any help is greatly appreciated! HiJack this is below...

1) This computer has BitTorrent installed. We naturally discourage the use of BitTorrent for any reason - besides illegal activity you can get caught up in, your computer is so much more prone to catch malware.
2) I'm seeing a couple of AntiVirus programs, AVG and ZoneAlarm. You may also be using a Microsoft service that doesn't show on the HJT log. You can visit the Free Antivirus and Antispyware Software post by Admin to see a list of the antivirus programs we recommend.
a) AVG has become bloated and inefficient over the last couple of years, and we don't recommend its use.
b) To avoid system resource conflicts, false positives, and broken security, you should only run one Antivirus program on your computer.

If these suggestions do not resolve your issue and you think you may be infected with malware, please follow the instructions in the Malware forum to create a new topic for our Malware staff to review.
