Question 1: My computer is a hp pavilion dv9000 laptop, I keep using the computer's external adapter instead of the battery(was fully charged) for about a month.
Question 2: Last night I try to plug in the battery but the computer can not boot. I found the battery is empty so get it charged while the laptop is switching off. The next day I am tonished to find that the battery remaided empty as 0%....
Question 3: I am sure the battery contacts perfectly to the computer because i have tried several times and the power cord is all right. At the same time, I found that the charging light wasn't on and the battery said "the power is connected but the battery is not charged".
Question 4: Someone said that maybe a problem had occured to motherboard or the battery was in poor quality.

Asking solutions from expert, any help will be greatly appreciated.....Becanse the battery isn't under warranty any more, i don't want to get it repaired....
Or I just need a new replacement battery, someone recommened me a website http://www.hplaptopb...-144v-p-76.html , he said that he once bought one at that website, the battery works perfect and the price is reasonable, can it be trusted? I have no idea,,,

Batteries do not last for ever and so will eventually fail + how the battery is used will also have an impact on their life expectancy, can I ask how old the battery is and do you use the notebook with the AC adapter and battery in place for prolonged periods.

See if any of the suggestions at the attached link help but if not I feel that you will need a replacement battery, preferably a genuine HP type as compatibility issues are common with third party replacement parts http://www.brighthub...cles/50844.aspx

Where replacement notebook batteries are concerned you must ensure that you read the adverts very carefully, note that the seller at the link in your OP leads us to believe that it is a battery from HP but nowhere do they state that the item is a genuine battery manufactured for or by HP, another link http://www.original-...op-battery.html

Let us know the outcome of the battery tests and any questions please ask.

NB: To avoid multiple replies your duplicate OP will be closed.

Please try the following steps:
Turn off laptop.
Unplug AC power.
Remove battery.
Replace AC power.
Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot.
Once logged in to the machine, perform a normal shut down.
Unplug AC power.
Replace battery.
Replace AC power.
Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot. The battery should once again be charging as normal.

If it still in no avail, you should replace a new battery. For new battery, you can take the following onlie store into consideration:
