windows vista shutting down

my windows vista started shutting down all on its own after i had to replace the power box. i scanned for a virus and all is good. i then rebooted and its still doing it. what could it be.

Possible causes of shutting down may include overheating, bad power supply, worse case scenario both of the afore mentioned and a bad hard drive or operating system installed on it.

Please provide information about your computer, this includes is it a notebook or desktop, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if it is provide the model name or series number (not serial) providing these details will enable us to better assist you.

Not sure what you mean by " i had to replace the power box " can you provide the brand and model name or number of whatever it is that you have replaced please.
