I have a dell OptiPlex GX260 computer,when I start windows it says it has found new audio hardware.
I then use wizard to download it then restarts windows & the same message comes up found new hardware.
So I cancell & microsoft tells me system has recovered from a serious error Windows ® WDM for realtek
AC'97 (ALCXWDM.SYS)
I think I am missing my driver its Realtek (3.14) R2.55 high definition Audio Driver version 5.10.06
Tried Realtek site also tried to download on file sharing site but never the same number driver but close
can anyone help please or steer me in the right direction.

If you are using the integrated Audio try this page at Dell and see if the driver for the Audio will work for you

Thanks Alziemer have been to that site might delete all audio drivers then try again
