Sony Vaio won't connect to wireless networks

Hi!

I've been having some trouble connecting to my wireless network and I'm not sure why.
I am a complete noob when it comes to computers so I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I have a Sony Vaio with Windows Vista Home Premium.
When I try to connect to my wireless network it can not connect, when I click to diagnose it says that Windows could not connect because it didn't receive any response from the wireless network.

I did the C:\Users\Roos\>ipconfig /All and this is the first part of the result:

hi, connect to internet by quick access button, try to connect with another network make sure that wireless switch is on.

Hi,

What is the security type for the wireless network you are trying to connect. If it is WPA/WPA2 try to change it to WEP. If still the same problem try to add the wireless network manually.
