i was trying to add some ram and a second hard drive to my pc and i've done it before on other pcs.

I now can't get the system to restart. I get a beeping noise from the PC, no signal at all to the monitor and the fan is making a noise, because it got dinged in the process.

I'd be happy to buy a new case to try and slot it all into as this case is tiny and I'm having issues working in the space. why worry is that I've fried the motherboard in the process.

I checked the new hard drive in another pc and it's partitioned and formatted for XP, but i can't think of what to do next.

Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed!!

Something is failing the POST test, thats what that beep means.
I would advise:
> Remove any new hardware
> Check to see if PSU can handle the load.
> re-check all conections.

Good luck, hope this healps!
