Hello G2G

I'm not certain this is the right place for this query, but i figured that those who browse this section are the most likely people to have had similar problems. I just got a brand new Alienware M14x laptop. I have both Firefox and Google Chrome web browsers, and for some reason they load things extremely slowly. My previous computer was a Frankenstein of a laptop that I had kept alive long past its relevance, but at least it could load images and navigate web pages at a reasonable speed! I checked my speed using Speedtest.net, and according to the test I have good speeds--I have about a 4.4Mbps download speed and a 2.3 Mbps upload speed (although, as i was writing this, i checked it again. Both values have been halved. Hopefully it is only temporary). All drivers are up to date, yada yada yada.

Any thoughts on this? I've disabled my firewall, disabled any applications that could be interfering, etc, but nothing has had any effect.
