Hi clippergirl,

Let's run a tool to check for the log file. Please download the attached file to your desktop, then right-click on it and select Run as administrator. If a log file exists, it will open up in a notepad file. Please copy the contents and paste them in your reply.

If you don't get a log file, could you please tell me if you remember if the detected files were deleted by ESET, or just detected?

Hi clippergirl,

Let's get rid of the malware that ESET turned up.

Also, could you please describe how your computer is running after this step. Do you mainly experience problems when you are using the internet? If so, which browser do they usually occur with?

Start OTL
  • Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following
    :Commands
    [createrestorepoint]

    :Files
    c:\Users\Sam\Downloads\Setup.exe
    c:\Users\sam\AppData\Local\Temp\BundleSweetIMSetup.exe
    c:\Users\sam\AppData\Local\Temp\Shortcut_BundleSweetIMSetup.exe
    c:\Users\sam\AppData\Local\Temp\BundleSweetIMSetup.exe

    :Commands
    [emptytemp]
  • Then click the Run Fix button at the top
  • Let the program run unhindered.
  • Post the log it produces in your next reply.
