Hey guys,

this might seem a little strange at first but i hope it might work out some way... My name is Florian P and I’m a psychology student at the University of Twente in Enschede, Netherlands. In order to attain my bachelor’s degree, I am currently conducting research on the topic of “geeks” and the experiences of self-proclaimed geeks in their contact with modern media. In my research, geeks are defined as people that love to busy themselves and work with computers or other related technologies and do so on a relatively high and demanding level....

To complete this study, I am looking for self-claimed geeks that are willing to participate in an interview on this topic. So i looked for a messageboard or forum on which i would definitely meet geeks and well, here I am.

The interview for my research will cover such aspects as motivational factors and your own view on "geekism". This interview will take about 20 to 30 minutes at most. Your answers and personal details will be treated confidentially and the data will be anonymized before processing. I would really appreciate your help in conducting my research! Feel free to contact me on here if youre interested in participating or if you have any further questions or ideas...

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm not surprised you haven't gotten a response yet; you see geeks keep busy burning their brains with 0's and1's series. But I'm still 'geek in training' I might still have a little spot left :smashcomp:
