Hi there,

I posted this in the ME forum, but perhaps it's better off here.

I have somehow managed to lose regedit from my system. I noticed a few days ago when Yahoo IM wouldn't install.

In the past few days, I've downloaded a bunch of registry fixes, spyware programs, anti-virus software, etc etc, and I've managed to fix a host of problems but still no regedit solution *lol*

This morning I downloaded and ran TDS-3 Professional (which I got from this site - thanks) and the log confirmed that while there was no detectable trojan/s, the following files are missing:
12:04:58 [CRC32] File doesn't exist: C:\WINDOWS\regedit.exe
12:04:59 [CRC32] File doesn't exist: C:\WINDOWS\System\cmd.exe

12:05:09 [CRC32] File doesn't exist: C:\WINDOWS\System\netmsg.dll
12:05:10 [CRC32] File doesn't exist: C:\WINDOWS\System\winsock.dll
12:05:12 [CRC32] Test finished.

And following is my "Hijack This" log:

I would be eternally gratefull if someone could have a squizz and let me know how I can fix this, preferably without having to re-install my OS.

I cannot seem to find a solution on the Net that I can understand.

Thanks :tazz:
