Yes, the checkbox on the left of the program name should allow or not allow the program to communicate thru the firewall.
Also, you can only remove an entry that you have added to the list.

Hi there,
It sounds to me that Firefox is acting up.
Can you try the HP site using Internet Explorer, and if that works, I would recommend a reinstall if Firefox.
Here is a guide to reinstalling Firefox, if you do reinstall it, please pay close attention to the part about preserving the user data and settings, your bookmarks would be contained in there.
If IE does not work also, let me know, and we can take a look at the c++ runtime.
