HI,

I am looking for a 17" LCD monitor.

I have looked at the following LCD's.. 17" Samsung 710 N, SAMSUNG 713N and BENQ FP71G..

THe issue with Samsung 710N and BENQ FP71G is that there is no DVI.

Can anyone comment on these or recommend some other 17" LCD within a roughly similar price range.. Any review or price qoute would be appreciated..

Thanks,

I have been having a similar problem deciding ive decided to get a 19" as the value is better as the price difference is only 30 or 40 pounds. For LCD monitors Amazon is the cheapest place ive seen by the way so i would check them as they have the monitor assuming you havent looked there allready.
The dvi vga thing from what ive read on the internet really doesnt make all that much difference as the quality of didgital to anolugue convertors is high enough to compensate for any loss in quality ususaly associated with a VGA connection. If there is a price difference i would definately say get the VGA if cost is a big issue. I checked the monitor out and the response time is really bad a at 25ms, if you have a little bit extra cash the try this one im thinking of getting it has a very good 12 ms response time:

Acer AL1914ms 19" TFT LCD Monitor 12ms - Silver & Black with Speakers
Our Price: £189.99
Its either that one or a SONY xblack one from costco on the cheap.
