Hello, im sorry if I am in the wrong topic.

I have updated a website and some of the pages on the old website no longer exist. However these pages no longer exist, but google still lists them. How do I redirect a page that goes from say www.domain.com/pages/contact to the new one www.domain.com/contact and have it still complying with the Google optimisation rules.

Thanks for your time
