Alright so I can't connect to game servers, get messages like, "failed to connect to server" and such. I've seen in other posts that it's been asked where the games were downloaded from, and if that factor also pertains to this I downloaded the games from the CDs I purchased. It was working just fine a couple weeks ago, and I recently found it works anywhere else but my own house, like at the library or a friend's house. I am using my own laptop in these places. At about the same time that this began my mother had put in a new modem, so is it something with the network? What can I do and how do I go about it? Please and thank you, guys.

could you tell us what isp you have, what modem, and what game your trying to get to work? Also do you use a router?

I'm using Qwest and the modem is a Q1000. The game I keep trying is Star Wars: the Old Republic and no, I am not using a router.
