Hi, I'm trying to set up a couple of 2TB WD Hard Drives in a RAID 1 configuration for data protection and I'm building the computer with the ASUS F1A75-M PRO motherboard. When I go into the bios and change the SATA configuration to RAID, I get the Raid controller prompt before the BIOS post screen as expected but when I press control-f to go into the configuration screen none of the options let me create a RAID volume out of my drives, I only get the option to view the drives under the control of the RAID controller and a couple of options pertaining to "LD" which I'm not sure what that is, and lastly the ability to what seems to be erasing everything off of the hard drives.
I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious or if the newer ASUS motherboard have a different way of creating RAID volumes, because I've never seen this before. I'm considering just using a Windows 7 software RAID set-up if I can't get the mobo to do it for me, I've read that there are some overhead slow-down issues with software RAID, but this build is just for storing files over a network so I don't think it really bothers me.
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated, thanks.
