K, My Sound Manager won't open so I can adjust the equalizer. I can click on it in the start menu but when it opens and is in the task bar by the clock I can't do anything with it. I can open Multimedia, Windows Media Player, Sound Recorder, and the Volume Control but not the Sound Manager. When I click on Sound Manager I get the Hour Glass Cursor but nothing happens.

Can someone please help me out.

Try uninstalling your sound card driver, then download the latest driver and software available from the mfg's website and reinstall.

I found something called Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM) and did a driver update but nothing happend. Do you think it might be something else or I just updated the wrong driver.

Was there software to go with this driver update?

Is your sound card built into your motherboard or a separate PCI card? Please provide more info and the make and model if applicable and we'll find the correct driver for you. You can also try AIDA32 to determine the required driver.
