I have a netbook the screen went bad on, so I hooked it to a small LCD TV with an HDMI cord. The netbook screen is showing up on the TV but the display is too wide for the TV screen. Important parts of the desktop are not showing up, like the start button, because of this. I have tried changing the screen resolution figuring it would also change the width/heighth ratio. This has not worked. I did some google searches that suggested trying this. It appears to have solved the problem for some but not in this case. The Google searches also suggested changing DPI settings but I cannot find a place in Windows 7 to change the dpi settings. Any suggestions? Thanks.
