escape and some function keys not working

esc, f3, f5, f6, f7, f11, right arrow, and some other f keys are not working. I'm not shure if it is a software or hardware problem. I have an Acer Aspire 5553g laptop, if that means anything. My operating system is Windows 7 ultimate.
