I've been having trouble with a recurring instance of an Aurora Adware infection. I've removed it numerous times with AdAware, and every time it comes back. I've been throught the sequence of tools in your 'do this first' post, but to no avail. All the tools and scans will pick up the infection, or various parts of it, but none will remove it permanently.
The main offenders seem to be a DrPMon.dll file in the win/sys32 dir, and a nail.exe in the windows dir. I'm presuming that these files are part of a Trojan infection, and replicate themselves somewhere else when they are removed, as i often get warnings that Registry values are being added when i try to remove them. Presumbly the new copies will then re-download all the other removed components when the PC is re-booted.
I've posted my HijackThis log below, which has several thing on it that even i can see shouldn't be there, even though i thought i'd removed them before i rebooted the PC to do this scan.
Thia has become very irritating and frustrating, so any help you can give would be gratefully recieved. Let me know if you need any more information.
