Internet media feeds crashing computer

Doesn't matter if I use AOL, IE or Firefox...

Whenever I try to load media from the Internet, it freezes the PC.

I can d/l media files and play them fine, but when it comes to streaming media like a live radio feed it's just not happening.

I think it happens when the player tries to determine the connection speed.

Any ideas?
