You will need to start a new thread for a different system. But we need to clean up what our work added to this system though, before we finish here. What problems still exist that we need to address please.

How do I uninstall hijack this?

Since antivirus softwares starting using methods like NDIS drivers to monitor things, there is less a need for firewall software.

You can uninstall HijackThis through Add/Remove Programs. Eset as well.


You can also at this time delete the files/folders of the tools we used. To assist with some of that, run OTL again. This will help by automatically removing some of the tools we used.

Just click CleanUp, and select Yes. When it finishes removing some of the tools and files we used there just agree to the reboot.
