I have just installed a new internal PCI modem on you desktop. It will not dial out. What is the problem?

Been a long time since I have any issues with modems.
What brand and model is it?
Did a drivers disk come with the modem?
Have you checked Device Manager for any yellow exclamation marks?
Did you delete the old modem prior to installing the new modem in the Device Manager?
