I have Windows 8 standard and not Windows 8 Pro and therefor the remote desktop app does not work for me. I need a program that I can download or something to be able to remote connect to somewhere else. I work from home and have an IP address where I should connect and then log into my work. I can't figure this out and if not done by Monday I will lose this great job. Please I need help and a program that can do this without having to upgrade to the Pro of Windows 8. I really need help. I have tried a few but they don't seem to be able to connect using an IP address

Hi,

Windows 8 Standard includes the client side of Remote Desktop it should work fine to connect to the other machine.
What is missing is the server part to accept remote desktop connections.
