Hello, as you can see i am new to this forums and i don't know were to post about this topic. Since like an week my laptop has been keylogged. There is no way to remove it but only resetting the laptop back to factory settings. I would not like to go back to the guy who made my pc last month to because he is expsensive.

So much question is: how do i reset my laptop acer asprire 7560G back to factory settings?

I already tried to use alt+f10 and it worked but if i do al steps and i see the prompt thingy it doesnt say the option to restory back to factory settings?

Is there a way that i get the option to restore it back to factory settings or is there an other way to do it?

I don't have an disc!

Thanks for your help!

Hello Soul and welcome to Geeks To Go

You said that you would not like to take it back to the guy you bought it off as he "made" the laptop.

Acer made the laptop so is this guy an authorised dealer for Acer?

If you can boot as normal then look in All Programs for Acer eRecovery.

To reinstall Windows and all pre-installed software and drivers:
1. Click on Start > All Programs > Acer, then click on Acer Recovery Management. Acer Recovery Management opens.
2. Click on the Restore tab, then Restore system to factory default. The Confirm Restoration dialog box opens.
3. Click on Yes, then Start. A dialog box displays information about the hard drive that the operating system will be recovered to.
Caution: Continuing the process will erase all files on your hard drive.
4. Click on OK. The recovery process begins by restarting your computer, then continues by copying files to your hard drive. This process may take a while, but a Acer eRecovery Management screen shows you its
progress.
When the recovery has finished, a dialog box prompts you to restart your computer.
5. Click on OK. Your computer restarts.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts for first-time system setup.Recovering from the hard drive during startup
To reinstall Windows and all pre-installed software and drivers:
1. Turn on your computer, then press Alt+F10 during startup. Acer eRecovery Management opens.
2. Click on Restore system from factory default.
Caution: Continuing the process will erase all files on your hard drive.
3. Click on Next. Your hard drive’s original, factory-loaded contents are recovered. This process will take several minutes.

I tried doing this but i can't find the acer file thing? I get stuck at 1. already if i need to click on acer. Doesn't show that for me

So are you saying these don't apply to you?

You see when you have done a back to factory recovery the machine will appear to be like when you first got it, all bookmarks and files etc will be gone.

The only things that will be installed will be the bundled software that came with it in the first place.

Can you boot the system normally?

If you can then right click on Computer and click Manage.

Open the Storage tree if not already open and click Disk Management.

Post a shot of what that says back here please.

On the desktop you should have an icon for My Computer.

Right mouse click on it and click Manage.

Click Disk Management and take a screen shot of it and post it back here.

This is an example ok.
