I started using an iPod last December on a Windows PC. When I first plugged it in to my Toshiba laptop a message came up saying it would be formatted for Windows and that I'd have to reformat it if I wanted to use it with a Mac.

My problem is that I'm looking to buy a Powerbook at the end of the summer and I don't want to lose all of my tracks from it. It took long enough to put all my CDs on there in the first place!

Is there a way of transferring all my iPod tracks from my iPod to my Windows laptop and then to a Mac laptop in order to quickly refil my freshly formatted iPod?

Thanks very much for any help!

You could transfer the files back down to your Windows laptop.

And if you have a home network, just connect both Mac and PC latop
up to you network, and transfer the files from your PC to your Mac
laptop.

Then change (format) Ipod to Mac, and then upload your music from
your Mac laptop to your Ipod.
