I have a windows 7 Sony Vaio that is only a few years old. As of today, my laptop will freeze, to the point where I can't even move the mouse, after startup. My desktop will load completely, but after that I can't do anything. I've tried force shut down a few times and have taken out the battery but nothing has worked. I'm not too computer savvy, but I tend to keep my computer very clean of old programs, etc. Any suggestions will be helpful! Thank you!

Does it freeze if you boot to Safe Mode with Networking by pressing F8 during boot to get to the Advanced Boot Options Menu?
