Backlight Issues - Acer Aspire 5532

Having an issue with the backlight of the screen for my Acer Aspire 5532. Have replaced the LCD inverter to no avail. You can see the the screen images when you shine a light on the screen. The screen with light up momentarily, but will quickly go dark. Not sure what to do now.

Sorry to say this but the backlight (CCFL lamp) itself appears to have expired :upset:

You have done one basic test with shining the light into the screen but if you can try connecting the notebook to an external screen by way of the VGA port, you may need to press the Fn and one of the F1 to F12 keys or a single key that has an image of a screen etched on it to toggle between screens.
