I leant my media hard drive to a friend, when I got it back I plugged it into my pc only to find that all my files were missing and replaced with two files, System Volume Information.exe and a file called .part. When i checked the drive in "Computer" it still says I have used 684GB which is roughly the amount of data used before the problem, this indicated to me that my files were still there.

I tried my luck and plugged it into my media player, All my files were visible and playable..

I have tried to plug it into another PC and I get the same problem.

Why can I not access the files from my PC? What can I do to fix this?
